Hello and welcome to Monday Motivation.
Heather Masters:It's a brand new week, and today I'd like to set an intention to really start the week making powerful choices, to feel good, to embrace joy, and to let energy carry us forward, that really positive energy.
Heather Masters:It's a big week around the world, so let's focus positively, let's focus on peace, on things turning out really well.
Heather Masters:Can you imagine starting each morning with a question.
Heather Masters:How important is it for me to feel good today?
Heather Masters:How would that shape your day?
Heather Masters:Feeling good helps us achieve so much more.
Heather Masters:If we continue to check in and to feel good, that motivates us to.
Heather Masters:To achieve so much more in our life.
Heather Masters:And just think, if you're feeling good and that's projecting out into the world, what a difference that'll make for people around you.
Heather Masters:Life gives us many reasons to focus on what we have to do and what we must achieve, what we should fix, what we need to do.
Heather Masters:But what if we flip that?
Heather Masters:Instead of saying, I have to go to work, I need to go to work, I must finish this task.
Heather Masters:What if we say, I get to do this?
Heather Masters:Just notice how different that feels.
Heather Masters:Saying I get to go to work today changes the energy of the task.
Heather Masters:I get to walk the dog.
Heather Masters:I get to take time out.
Heather Masters:You're no longer burdened, you're grateful, you're appreciative.
Heather Masters:And when you say I get to, you kind of remind yourself that each day is a gift, Each task is a gift.
Heather Masters:I get to take the trash out.
Heather Masters:I get to wash the dishes.
Heather Masters:It means I have a home, I have the opportunity.
Heather Masters:It is a gift.
Heather Masters:And that each day and each moment is a gift.
Heather Masters:Our surroundings are a gift, our environment is a gift.
Heather Masters:And it's full of opportunities waiting to be embraced rather than feeling that we're forced into doing something.
Heather Masters:So let's take a moment just to check in on how important feeling good is for you.
Heather Masters:How important is it for you to feel joy and to let life smooth flow smoothly?
Heather Masters:Is there some resistance around that?
Heather Masters:Because I know sometimes when I check in, there is a bit of resistance.
Heather Masters:And it means I'm not prioritizing how good I feel.
Heather Masters:I'm not setting the tone for a life that's about thriving rather than just surviving and being able to check in and kind of bring yourself back to.
Heather Masters:Yeah, it is important for me to feel good.
Heather Masters:Because if I feel good, that's going to overflow into the work that I do.
Heather Masters:It's going to overflow into the environment around me.
Heather Masters:It's going to Change the way that I show up, and it's going to change the actions that I take.
Heather Masters:And I think that's really important this week, especially with everything that's going on around the world, to actually choose to feel good, irrespective of what's happening outside of us.
Heather Masters:And it's normal to feel resistance if we're out of the habit of feeling good, if we feel so tired and, you know, potentially so beaten down that we've forgotten what it feels like.
Heather Masters:To consistently feel good, to let go of stress and to find joy.
Heather Masters:And we can do this through visualization.
Heather Masters:We can use visualization to open up possibilities for ourselves.
Heather Masters:It's a powerful tool that helps us turn what feels impossible into something we can almost reach out and touch.
Heather Masters:So as we go through this week and things may seem heavy or impossible, take that moment to step back, to remind yourself what a difference it makes to make that choice about feeling empowered, feeling happier, feeling good about your life and yourself.
Heather Masters:So let's have a go at this visualization now.
Heather Masters:So try this.
Heather Masters:Close your eyes if you're in a safe place, and imagine a version of yourself that flows through the day with ease, handling each task, each challenge, with grace.
Heather Masters:Visualize yourself smiling, energized, and feeling genuinely good.
Heather Masters:Imagine the weight lifting, your breath slowing down, and your mind clearing.
Heather Masters:See yourself moving through the day from a place of joy, not stress.
Heather Masters:Each time you catch yourself thinking I have to.
Heather Masters:Then pause, take a breath and replace it with I get to.
Heather Masters:And notice how that changes your perspective and how that change in perspective allows you to feel more empowered, more in control, and changes how you experience every moment.
Heather Masters:Okay, now I'm taking a 10 day challenge, so I'm going to be showing up every day instead of the three days a week.
Heather Masters:Tomorrow I'm going to do Tuesday tech and talk about some of the positives and negatives of AI.
Heather Masters:So tune in for that.
Heather Masters:And just for today, remember that feeling good isn't just a nice idea.
Heather Masters:It's a choice.
Heather Masters:My podcast is called Choosing Happy for a Reason.
Heather Masters:You know, it's a practice that can transform how you approach not just every part of your day, but every task that you do.
Heather Masters:If we approach our tasks with intention, with love, with joy, it shifts how we create, how we put our energy into what we're doing.
Heather Masters:And in that, that can change the reaction of our clients.
Heather Masters:It can change how our fellow workers respond to us.
Heather Masters:So make it a priority.
Heather Masters:And the more you prioritize feeling good, the more your life will align with that energy.
Heather Masters:So start out small and ask yourself how important it is for me to feel good today and allow that question to guide you and and watch how your days, your moments, your week, even your life starts to change.
Heather Masters:I really hope this helps today.
Heather Masters:So this Monday, let's set a simple goal to choose to feel good, let go of I have to and embrace I get to and make that choice again and again throughout the day and you'll be amazed at what a difference it makes.
